Photo Friday: Dramatic Cloud Formations

March 24, 2017

I think I’ve said it before, but I love cloud formations.  In a recent unit in my school they talked about stockpiling images of clouds for use as backgrounds of architecture photography, if the sky is uneventful.  This is what today’s shot is for.

Photo Friday, On Thursday

January 22, 2015

Starting tomorrow, I was planning on starting something called Photo Friday.  Unfortunately, we will not have the internet starting tonight, for a few days, so I have chosen a picture I took last summer that I thought you would all like, of the Portland, Maine skyline with queen anne’s lace in the foreground, during sunset.  I hope you enjoy.  I hope to be back online shortly.

Day 85: Reach the Sky

March 22, 2012

Reach the Sky

Even if it takes

Most of my life,

I must continue

Feeding my mind

And stretching my imagination

If I wish to reach the sky.

Special Photograph

March 16, 2012

This is one of the times I didn’t do a poem.    I had a very busy day, but I took this photograph last night, just after sunset.  I wanted to capture the lights of Portland, and add Venus and Jupiter before they separate again.  I heard that they will no longer be visible in a couple of weeks, so I had to get them now.

Day 41: Cloudy Day

February 3, 2012

Cloudy Day

I look to the sky

At the cloud’s approach,

And think about the rain

That is coming;

How it will clean the air

And bring new life

To spring flowers.
