Photo Friday: Nature’s Canvas

July 21, 2017

Every time I go out with my camera, I see the world like a canvas that nature is constantly painting on.  I found this scene the other day after a night of showers.

Photo Friday: Drops

As a continuing project that I didn’t realize I was involved in, I found today’s photograph on my way home from work.  It rained overnight, and left behind these drops on the plant.  If you look closely at the big drop in the center you’ll see my reflection.

Photo Friday: A Splash of Color

November 25, 2016

I just love those photographs that are black and white, and the photographer adds a little color to the image.  As the Fall color change comes to an end, this effect is happening naturally.  In today’s photo I found a baby tree growing in a small body of water.  The reflections contrasted perfectly with the orange leaves of the baby tree.

This week, here in Portland, Maine we saw the first frost of the season.  I consider that a great time to get a few foliage shots.

Here’s one I got as a result.

Photo Friday: This Bud’s for You

April 29, 2016

I think it goes without saying, I love this time of year.  Baby animals are born, flowers make the world live with color, and trees burst with leaves.  Of course, before the leaves fully form, they have to bud first, and that is a process that can be beautiful, and worth capturing.

Today’s photo is a tree bud that I found particularly beautiful.
